Japan: Ferrous scrap exports fall over 10%, m-o-m, in July

Japan’s scrap exports decreased by 13% to 411,651 t in Jul’22 compared to 472,016 t in Jun, as per SteelMint data.
South Korea continued to be the largest importer at 177,756 t followed by Vietnam and Taiwan at 87,033 t and 56,819 t, respectively.
On a y-o-y basis, exports dipped by more than 28% as against 573,473 t in Jul’21.
