India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed mixed price trends on 1 September, 2022. Offers across mills varied in the range of INR 50- 700/tonne d-o-d.
Sponge iron prices varied in the range of INR 50-300/t with the highest fall recorded in Jharsuguda market. However, a slight hike of INR 300/t was seen in Ramgarh market.
Billet prices increased in the range of INR 50-550/t across regions with maximum rise seen in Eastern region’s Ramgarh billet market.
Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers fluctuated in the range of INR 200-700/t across regions. Prices rose by INR 700/t in Delhi market but dropped by INR 200/t in Bangalore.
Billet prices in most regions saw a rise while finished long prices fluctuated. A slight recovery in finished steel sales was noticed in central region and a few markets in western region.
