India: Sponge iron demand improves in Bellary on lower offers

Sponge PDRI (FeM 80%) prices in Karnataka’s Bellary dropped by INR 400/t, while CDRI prices were down by INR 350/t on 30 Aug.

• About 8,640 t PDRI deals were confirmed at INR 32,900-33,300/t exw, against offers at INR 33,200/t exw.
• SteelMint’s price assessment for CDRI stands at INR 34,100/t exw. Around 2,300 t deals were concluded.
