In the fourth week of Aug’22, auto component producers in western India conducted multiple auctions for mild steel melting/component scrap. A Pune, Maharashtra-based auto parts producer conducted an auction on 25 Aug for around 1,800 t of HR-CR mixed busheling scrap which fetched bids at around INR 45,700/t exw. In another auction from same location, 400 t of CR busheling prompt scrap was booked at 49,100/t exw.
