Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed a further increase of RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 25 Aug’22. Prices stood at RMB 3,770/t ($550/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,052/t ($591/t), a fall of RMB 34/t ($5/t), d-o-d.
