Heavy structural steel prices remain stable in Raipur. The current offer for 150mm channel stands at INR 56,000/t exw. Increased raw material (sponge iron and billet) prices prompted suppliers to float same offers and spot trades were limited in the market. Trade discounts hovered over INR 1,500/t. In Durgapur, West Bengal, prices of similar-sized were hovering around INR 54,300-54,700/t yesterday.
