India’s rebar production falls 7%, m-o-m, in July: JPC

India’s rebar production stood at 2.99 mnt in Jul’22, down by 7% as against 3.21 mnt in June, as per Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data. The demand-supply mismatch in the domestic market impacted production volumes m-o-m. Steelmakers like JSW Steel, RINL and others reported a sharp drop in output while production by SAIL and Tata Steel increased by 37% and 3% m-o-m respectively in July.
