Pellet-based sponge iron (FeM 80%) prices in Karnataka’s Bellary dropped marginally by INR 100/t while iron ore-based DRI (CDRI) prices remained stable as on 22 Aug.
- PDRI deals of 1,950 t were confirmed at INR 34,300-34,500/t exw against offers at INR 34,500/t exw.
- CDRI prices stand at INR 35,500-35,600/t exw and around 2,000 t deals were reported.
- Sponge iron buying enquiries slowed down today as buyers remained cautious amid unclear market trends.
