China’s HRC, CRC prices rise by up to RMB 20/t ($3/t)

China’s domestic CRC prices rose marginally by RMB 20/t ($3/t) and HRC prices by RMB 10/t ($1/t) on 22 Aug’22. According to SteelMint data, SHFE HRC futures for Oct’22 delivery settled today at RMB 3,880/t ($567/t), largely stable compared with the closing on 19 Aug’22. Current prices-

• HRC (4.5-12mm, Q235 B): RMB 3,930/t ($575/t)
• CRC (1-1.2mm, Q195-215A): RMB 4,365/t ($638/t)
• Prices are exw-Tianjin basis, inclusive of 13% VAT.
