India’s manganese ore imports decreased by 33% m-o-m to 0.36 mnt in Jul’22 as against 0.55 mnt in June. Reduction in domestic alloy production weighed on manganese ore imports. Key exporters in the month were South Africa, Gabon and Australia.
Cumulative imports in Jan-Jul’22 increased by 15% to 3.79 mnt compared to the year-ago period.
