China: Heavy rainfall disrupts coal production in major provinces

Thermal coal production in China’s major coal-producing province of Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia has halted amid heavy rainfall over the last few days. Coal mines at Jungar Banner in Inner Mongolia were asked to stop production as the road along the area was closed stopping dispatches. Buyers have increased their overseas inquiries, especially for Indonesian coal in anticipation of limited domestic supply.
