China: Alumina production drops m-o-m in July after hitting nearly 3.5 year-high

China alumina production fell by 3.21% to 7.08 mnt in Jul’22 after hitting nearly 3.5 year high in Jun’22, as per customs data maintained with SteelMint. Meanwhile, aluminium production was almost stable (+1%) m-o-m at 3.42 mnt in July. A few Chinese sources expect that aluminium production in Aug’22 may get impacted because of low capacity utilisation due to heatwaves.
