China: Long steel output declines y-o-y in July

China’s long steel output declined y-o-y in Jul’22, as per recently released data by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

• Rebar production fell by 19.8% y-o-y to 17.12 mnt.
• Wire rod production dropped 14.7% to 11.57 mnt.

In Jan-Jul’22, rebar output fell 14.7% y-o-y to 136.32 mnt and wire rod output declined 13.7% y-o-y to 83.32 mnt.
