Balco increased primary aluminium ingot (P1020, 99.7%) prices by INR 4,500/t ($57/t) today as against 16 Aug’22. The effective price is INR 227,500/t ($2,864/t). The major factor behind the price hike could be the rise in LME aluminium futures and spot prices. Yesterday, spot prices stood at $2,490/t, rising by $53/t d-o-d while futures prices remained almost stable.
