Major Pakistani steel mills – International Steel Limited (ISL), Aisha Steel Mills Limited (ASML) and Hadeed Pakistan Private Limited (HP) – have reduced prices for cold-rolled coil (CRC) and coated flat steel products by PKR 12,000/t ($56/t), effective 17 Aug’22. Mills reduced prices considering several factors like appreciation of PKR against the dollar, volatile global steel prices, political instability and low demand from the major steel consuming sectors, sources informed.
