Indian Iron ore imports hit an all time high of 6.76 MnT during Apr’14-Nov’14 owing to mining restrictions imposed in Odisha & Jharkhand. Imports are likely to hit 11-12 MnT during this fiscal year.
JSW Steel remain the biggest importer followed by Tata Steel. Below table defines total Iron ore imports done by different companies in India.
