HPCL and IOCL recycle scrap obtained from damaged gas cylinders that have perished in some way or cannot be refilled. Auctions for this type of scrap are regularly held in various locations across India. During an auction last week, Punjab-based buyers showed active interest and bids surged to the highest level of INR 47,000/t exw.
