India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed positive price trends. Offers across mills surge by upto INR 1,100/tonne d-o-d, on 10 August.
Sponge iron prices rose by INR 100-1,000/t. Prices increased in Durgapur market by INR 1,000/t.
Billet prices elevated in the range of INR 200-1,100/t. Prices up by INR 1,100/t in Jalna’s market, in West India.
Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers edge up in the range of INR 300-1,000/t across regions. Prices rose in the Durgapur’s market by INR 1,000/t.
Overall, the market observed a positive price trend in terms of prices. Semi-finished and finished long offers witnessed a jump across all regions while active demand was seen throughout the day.
