In the first week of Aug’22, auto component producers in west and north India conducted multiple auctions for mild steel melting/component scrap. A Halol, Gujrat-based auto parts producer conducted an auction for around 250 t of auto steel scrap which fetched bids at around INR 45,400/t exw. In another auction from Manesar, Haryana, 90 t of turning chips was booked at 41,500/t exw.
