India: Raipur mills book over 2,000 t of sponge iron from Odisha

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur fell by INR 500/t to INR 34,800/t exw.
2,800 t of FeM 78-80% P-DRI deals were recorded today, 85% of which was sold by Odisha-based plants at INR 34,000-34,500/t DAP Raipur, FeM 78-79%. Meanwhile, Raipur-based plants sold at around INR 34,800-34,900/t exw basis, FeM 80%.
Strong supply of sponge iron from Odisha and falling billet prices dragged down offers in Raipur.
