Ship-breaking melting scrap prices dropped further by INR 300/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 43,700/t exy. The decline in semi-finished steel prices on yesterday’s session and limited trading activities in the region prompted scrap suppliers to reduce their offers today.
