Indian sponge iron export offers rise on domestic price gains

SteelMint’s weekly sponge iron export price assessment rose by $10-15/t on surge domestic offers by up to INR 1,000/t ($13), w-o-w.
Offers for Nepal stood at $490-495/t CPT Raxaul and three rakes (8,000 t) of deals were confirmed this week, out of which recent one rake was sold at $475/t LTW from eastern India, equivalent to $495/t CPT Nepal (FeM 80%, lumps 70%, fines 30%).
Offers for Bangladesh stand at $425/t CPT Benapole. However, no major deals were reported.
