Turkiye: Steel billet imports rise over 65%, m-o-m, in June

Turkiye’s steel billet imports rose sharply by 69.12% m-o-m in Jun’22 to 0.46 mnt from 0.27 mnt in May’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Russia was the major exporter with 0.37 mnt in the month under review.
However, import volumes dropped by 12% to 2.39 mnt y-o-y in Jan-Jun’22 as against 2.71 mnt in the year-ago period.
