India: Major IF rebar mills raise prices by up to INR 400/t in Raipur

Raipur-based major IF rebar producer Goel TMT raised prices (for Fe-500D, 10-25 mm) by INR 400/t to INR 55,900/t exw while GK TMT increased prices by INR 200/t to INR 55,700/t (GST and other charges extra).
The rally in sponge iron and semi-finished steel prices prompted re-rollers to raise offers despite moderate demand.
SteelMint’s daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 50,350/t exw-Raipur on 2 Aug’22, up by INR 100/t, d-o- d.
