China’s domestic HRC, CRC prices rise by up to RMB 150/t ($22/t)

China’s domestic HRC prices rose by RMB 150/t ($22/t) and CRC prices by RMB 130/t ($19/t) on 1 Aug’22. According to SteelMint data, SHFE HRC futures for Oct’22 delivery settled today at RMB 4,044/t ($598/t), up by RMB 56/t ($8/t) from last closing on 29 July. Current prices-

• HRC (4.5-12mm, Q235 B): RMB 4,050/t ($599/t)
• CRC (1-1.2mm, Q195-215A): RMB 4,475/t ($662/t)
• Prices are exw-Tianjin basis, inclusive of 13% VAT.
