Japan: Flat steel exports down 6%, m-o-m, in Jun’22

Japan’s flat steel exports dropped 4% to 2.20 mnt in Jun’22 against 2.31 mnt a month ago.
HRC, plates – the highest shipped products – recorded a drop of 6% to 1.25 mnt in the month while electrical steel exports were at 0.48 mnt (down 9%) and galvanised steel at 0.22 mnt (up 15%).
Thailand and South Korea were the leading importers in June.
During Jan-Jun’22, export volumes rose 3% y-o-y to 12.56 mnt.
