Indonesian thermal coal prices falls amid weak buying sentiment

Indonesian thermal coal prices continue to edge lower. Prices of mid-CV 5000 kcal/kg GAR grade coal prices fell by $8/t w-o-w. Import inquiries from major Asian buyers have been weak amid rising Russian supplies in these markets and the seasonally weak procurement period during monsoon. High-CV 6500 kcal/kg NAR grade coal prices also fell by $3/t due to limited shipments to Europe amid a shortage of cape vessels.
