Over 5,000 t sponge iron deals concluded in Raipur, Chhattisgarh

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur rose by INR 100/t to INR 34,300/t exw.
5,300 t of FeM 78-80% P-DRI deals were concluded at INR 34,000-34,300/t on exw and DAP Raipur basis by Raipur- and Odisha-based plants.
Prices remained strong on healthy orders with suppliers amid a slight supply shortage with shutdown of kilns at a couple of plants.
