India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed mixed price trends, while offers floated by the mills varied in the range of INR 50-1,000/tonne d-o-d, on 28 Jul’22.
Sponge iron prices fluctuated in the range of INR 50-300/t. Prices increased in Jharsugda’s sponge iron market by INR 300/t.
Billet prices varied in the range of INR 100-800/t. Prices witnessed a rise of INR 800/t in Jalna’s billet market.
Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers rose in the range of INR 200-1,000/t across regions. Prices rose in Hyderabad by INR 1,000/t.
Today, semi’s and finished steel prices fluctuated throughout the day, while market participants were cautious about taking positions as prices remained volatile.
