SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet – 27 Jul’22

After the recently concluded Turkiye deal, imported ferrous scrap buyers in South Asian countries turned cautious and opted for a wait-and-watch mode for clear market directions. The imported scrap market in Bangladesh remained quiet for yet another week in both the bulk and container markets. However, imported scrap offers fell further to a 16-month low.

SAIL-Bokaro Steel Plant held two auctions for 4,000 t (2 rakes) and 150 t (by road) steel grade pig iron on 27 July. In both the auctions, the entire quantity received bids at around INR 45,100/t and INR 46,400/t exw, respectively.

The below sheet summarises confirmed trades/offers of iron and steel products collected by SteelMint to help our users keep track of day-to-day trade dynamics.
