Amid rising demand for Russian coal in the Indian market, portside prices of 6000 kcal/kg NAR are assessed at INR 16,500/t at Ennore Port. Imported offers for the grade are heard at $185-190/t CFR India basis. There is an increased demand of Russian thermal coal among Indian power and cement producers because of its cheaper rates against other origins.
