Global alumina production fell by 1.09% in Jun’22, data from International Aluminium Institute (IAI) shows. Alumina production was recorded at 11.6 mnt in Jun against 11.7 mnt in the previous month. Daily average alumina production stood at 380,000 t in Jun, down marginally by 0.6% from 389,000 t in May. China accounted for a major chunk of global production at 6.70 mnt, with a market share of 57.81%.
