Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), a Vedanta Group company & Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL), has floated tender for purchase of Steam coal.

1. TSPL Tender
TSPL has invited bid from reputed suppliers for beneficiation of 4.5 MnT pa of RAW (Run of Mine) coal and supply of beneficiated coal (washed coal) on FoR TSPL basis.
The scope of work under this tender will cover lifting of RAW coal from Mahanadi Coalfield Limited (MCL) mines at Talcher Area/IB Valley Area/Basundhara & Kulda Area against the linkage quotas allocated by the CIL/MCL/MoC/CEA etc. On regular basis, its beneficiation and then transportation of the beneficiated coal to TSPL Power Plant by rail.
Bidders should have own benfication plant or if it is commissioning, should not be less than 30 Nov, 2014. They must have their own coal washery and should executed lifting & beneficiation work in CIL coalfields.
Deadline for bid submission is before 15.00 hrs IST on 27 Nov, 2014 and technical bid will open at 11.00 hrs IST on 28 Nov, 2014.
2. TNPL Tender
TNPL has invited bid for supply of imported coal on deliver at TNPL siding at Pugalur basis. The company is looking to procure 0.3 MnT +/5% coal in five shipments of about 60,000 MT each (from Jan’15 to Apr’15). Bidding process will be based on revers auction.
Bidder must have supplying experience of at least 0.3 MnT coal in past three fiscal years (FY12/13/14).
Specification
- Gross Calorific Value (ADB): 6,000 kcal/kg
- Total Moisture (ARB): 18%
- Ash (ADB): 8% max
- VM: 25-45%
Quoted price should be on C&F Karaikal basis inclusive of all port charges (both loading & unloading ports). All other incidental expenses such as pilotage and berth hire charges, light dues, harbour dues, other taxes, assessment, night/holiday charges and other charges with respect to the vessel at port of discharge.
