Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 50/t ($7/t) on 19 July. Prices stood at RMB 3,550/t ($526/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 3,774/t ($559/t), a marginal decrease of RMB 6/t ($1/t).
