Sponge iron, PDRI (FeM 80%), prices in Karnataka’s Bellary fell by INR 100/t, while iron ore-based DRI (CDRI) prices decreased by INR 150/t on 15 Jul’22.
- About 1,100 t of PDRI deals were confirmed at INR 34,700-35,000/t exw against offers at INR 35,000/t exw.
- SteelMint’s assessment for CDRI stands at INR 35,350/t exw with around 1,400 t deals recorded.
- Low buying and falling billet offers in major locations continued to weigh on sponge iron prices.
