India: South African RB2 sold at INR 18,500/t at Paradip Port

In a confirmed deal, 3,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was booked at INR 18,500/t at Paradip Port, while offers at Haldia Port were higher at INR 18,500/t. Sponge iron manufacturers continue to make small parcel bookings of imported coal. However, bulk bookings remain under pressure on weak demand expectation during monsoon, market participants informed.
