Raipur sponge iron prices rise further, over 4,000 t deals reported

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur rose by INR 300/t to INR 35,800/t exw today.
3,300 t of FeM 78-80% P-DRI deals were reported at INR 35,400-35,800/t on exw and DAP Raipur basis. About 1,000 t of FeM 76% P-DRI was traded at INR 34,400-34,500/t DAP Raipur basis.
Due to unplanned shutdown in kilns and low productivity, a daily shortfall of 1,000-1,500 t sponge iron is seen in Raipur market.
