Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has increased long steel prices by INR 1,000/t ($13/t), effective from today, on improved demand, sources informed SteelMint. Subsequent to the revision, the effective price for rebar (12-32mm, IS1786) stands at INR 59,000-59,500/t ($741-747/t) on landed-Delhi basis and that for wire rod is at INR 57,500/t ($722/t) on ex-plant basis. Prices are basic, excluding GST at 18%.
