India: ESL Steel hikes long steel prices by INR 1,500/t ($19/t) for mid-July

ESL Steel Ltd has increased long steel prices by INR 1,500/t ($19/t) for mid-Jul’22 sales owing to improved order books amid better demand besides cost pressure, sources informed SteelMint. Current prices-

• Rebar (12-32mm, IS1786): INR 59,500-60,000/t ($747-754/t)
• Wire rod (5.5-6mm, SAE1008): INR 60,500-61,000/t ($760-766/t)

Prices mentioned are on exy-Delhi basis, excluding GST at 18%.
