Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) held an auction for 3,495 t of iron scrap (recovery rate 78%-83%) on 11 July from Bhilai Steel Plant. Buyers booked the entire quantity at around INR 44,350/t exw. Also, two lots of 500 t of pig casting machine (PCM) scrap was booked at INR 42,900/t and one lot (around 100 t) of CI-skull scrap booked at INR 43,100/t exw.
