Thailand: Ferrous scrap imports increase by 20% m-o-m, in May’22

Thailand’s ferrous scrap imports were up by 20% to 0.18 mnt in May’22, against 0.15 mnt in Apr’22, as per customs data maintained with SteelMint.
Myanmar continued to be the top exporter with 27,267 t, followed by Australia and United States with 21,101 t and 17,615 t respectively.
On a y-o-y basis, too, scrap imports grew by 29% from 0.14 mnt in May’21.
