Export prices of Hot Rolled Coil (HRC) in Russia and Ukraine
have declined by $10-15/MT for the month of April. However prices of Cold Rolled
Coil (CRC) are at same level.
Currently the export price in CIS region (Russia and
Ukraine) is hovering at $560/MT FOB Black Sea. On the other hand domestic (India) HRC is available at Rs 39,300 (Ex-Delhi inclusive of ED, taxes ext).
Speaking on the
import market and prices, an importer based in Mumbai said, “Feasibility of imported
material at current price levels is limited. Price offers for HRC from China
are at $600 (CNF Mumbai) for delivery in April. Domestic material on
the other hand is available at Rs 34500++ (equivalent to $630) making it more
attractive for buyers compared to imported material with better quality. December
and January shipments of few importers are still arriving at $560-75 (CNF Mumbai) in March with weak demand in local market,” he added further.
