Indonesia: Steel billet imports fall 61%, m-o-m, in May’22

Indonesia’s steel billet imports fell sharply by 61.44% m-o-m in May’22 to 0.13 mnt against 0.34 mnt in Apr’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Oman was the largest exporter with 0.06 mnt, followed by the UAE with 0.03 mnt.
However, import volumes remained largely stable at 1.37 mnt y-o-y in Jan-May’22.
