Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction today for 40,000 t of iron ore fines (Fe 62.5%) from its Bolani mines in Odisha. The base price for the material was INR 6,150/t ex-mines inclusive of royalty, DMF, NMET and the additional amount mentioned in the MMDR Amendment Act. According to a latest update, the auction failed to receive any response due to higher base price.
