Amid rising Russian coal imports into India, portside prices of 6200 kcal/kg NAR fell INR 1,000/t over last fortnight to INR 17,500/t, Kandla Port. Vessels for the grade are being booked at $205/t CIF eastern India. Amid costlier Australian and South African coal, Russian material is gaining traction among domestic brick and cement makers. Around 0.4 mnt of Russian thermal coal will arrive at Indian ports.
