- Japan’s iron ore imports fell 5.86% m-o-m in May’22 to 9.55 mnt from 10.14 mnt in Apr, as per data released by customs.
- Australia was the largest exporter at 5.71 mnt, followed by Brazil at 1.77 mnt.
- However, import volumes remained largely stable at 46 mnt on year in Jan-May.
