Korean Power Company, EWP (Korea East-West Power Co Limited) has invited bids through two different tenders for purchase of Steam (Sub-bituminous) coal.
KWP has requirement of 0.35 MnT Steam coal for its Dangjin power plant. Bidders shall offer in lots of 70,000MT to 80,000MT or 140,000MT on both FOBT and CFR basis.
If quoted price offered in FOBT or CFR only (one term basis) can be disqualified. The company can accept bid on either a FOBT or a CFR basis.
Eligibility
Suppliers (coal producers\marketing companies\trading companies) should have experience of supplying 60,000-200,000 MT pa coal for long-term (more than 1-year) to Steel/Power companies of Korea, Japan or Taiwan since 2001 or past 3 years
Or
Have contractual performance of over 1 MnT coal supply to Steel/Power companies for past 3 years

- NCV: 4,600 kcal/kg min
- Moisture (ARB): 15-28% max
- Volatile Matter (ADB): 22-45 %
- Fixed Carbon (Air dried basis): 60% max
- Ash (ADB): 10% max
Quoted price should be fixed and in USD only.
Deadline for bid submission shall be 11.00 hrs on 12 Nov, 2014 as per Korean Standard Time.
