Opening Bell: Base Metals Market Update

  • Base metals prices opened on a volatile note today as against the last closing levels. Zinc prices slipped over 3% in morning trade, while nickel prices rose over 1%. Notably, copper stocks rose over 10% yesterday, equivalent to 11,825 t compared to the last trading session.
  • Brent oil rose 1.87% to $111.32 and crude oil WTI futures rose 1.86% to $110.89. Oil prices stayed above $110 a barrel as crude and oil product supplies remained tight.
