China: Bauxite imports rise over 7%, m-o-m, in May

  • China’s bauxite imports were recorded at 11.97 mnt in May’22, an increase of 7.64% as against 11.12 mnt in Apr.
  • Bauxite imports rose 31% y-o-y in May as against 9.14 mnt in May’21.
  • Total bauxite imports in Jan-May’22 stood at 55.75 mnt, as per data collated by SteelMint.
