Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 600/t d-o-d, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,200/t exy. A slight increase in semi-finished steel prices in the key market of Punjab in the late hours of yesterday’s session encouraged scrap suppliers to keep offers on the higher side today. However, buying enquiries are still limited for semis and scrap.
